Some ladies preparing food in the traditional way and pictures of a milling machine that some of the lucky ones can use.

(02.03.2018) Click here: Welcome to Toukon

The welcome we received when we visited Toukon in January 2018. The ceremony was a joint one to celebrate the well which was drilled in October 2017 and the “opening” of the school. Actually, the school was opened in about 2013, but this was too good an opportunity to miss to have a good celebration!

(22.02.2018) Click here: Children singing

Children just enjoying singing choruses. They didn’t know we were coming. When we stopped the minibus and got out, we just heard the singing. There were no adults in the church! How lovely to see them so happy with none of the amusements that children have in the UK.

(13.02.2018) Click here: Fetching water at Silmiougou

This clip shows ladies using their bicycles to take water home from the pump. Watch the way they tie two containers together and put them on their bicycles. Then they balance a third container on top of the other two. Notice the little boy climbing onto his mothers bicycle! Clean water in Burkina Faso for the people. Well number 78 on our full list. Click here more detail about Silmiougou.

(13.02.2018) Click here: Cattle drinking at Debere

Providing water is as important for people. But it is also important for the livestock. We were just about to leave Debere and go to another village when a line of cattle appeared. They came along a track and went straight to the drinking trough. Nobody was leading them – they just knew the way. The well had only been there about 6 weeks! Some of the boys immediately starting pumping to give them water in the trough. Clean water in Burkina Faso for the livestock. Well number 99 on our full list. Click here for more detail about Debere.

(13.02.2018) Click here: Drilling a well

Watch the moment that water was found a Laado back in November 2016. There was a whole crowd of people watching. It was a wonderful moment when the drill struck water. Well number 75 on our full list. Click here for more details about Laado. Clean water in Burkina Faso for several villages.

(13.02.2018) Click here: Choir at the 100 wells celebration

Africans love to sing. It is no different in Burkina Faso. When we reached the milestone of 100 wells, our friends in Ouagadougou arranged a special celebration. This is a short clip of the choir singing for us.

(13.02.2018) Click here: One of our partners talking about his work

To identify villages where water is most needed, we work with pastors and evangelists on Burkina Faso. This is an English version of a TV News item that featured evangelist Boureima Diallo and a “Community Health Day” that he arranged. As many as 900 people attended to see on of over 40 medical specialists who came to help him.

Who are we?

Our charity provides life-saving water wells in Burkina Faso – one of the poorest countries in West Africa. A few places do have mains water, but even that supply lacks purity.
100% of donations received go to pay for wells. The Trustees in the UK and Burkina Faso receive no remuneration for their work. The salaries of the two administrative staff employed in Burkina Faso are paid by the UK Trustees, or using funds specifically donated for this purpose.
