The next 2 wells are in the far north in the Dori area where there has been some unrest since the problems in Mali. It was impossible for us to visit as it was deemed a ‘no go’ area by the Foreign Office and our Burkinabe friends also advised against it. The wells will go ahead and be drilled in March / April 2013 as the final funds for this well will be received soon. You can see how animals and people share the water resources they have at present. Both wells are to assist the work of missionaries in this northern region as well as supporting these 2 villages in this arid, desert part of Burkina Faso.
