We were able to visit this well as it was the easiest for us to get to but still a 6 hour journey.
The Bilanga well was sponsored by one of our supporters which had made the whole project in the east a viable one. She would have been delighted to see that a Bible School for trainee pastors had been started and was in its infancy, having been started only last October [2013]. Having a well in place meant that deciding to build here was possible. The actual school has now started and the first students are enrolled. The young pastors and their families were delighted with the well and can now plan the future. They have plants ready to go in and they hope to make bricks for new buildings. Lessons have started and although conditions are very basic it is a huge project in the making.
2015 – as we are drilling in the east again we are using the school as our base and what a difference 2 years has made! There are now accomodation blocks, classrooms, toilets, a library [ although no books yet] and the trees are planted and big enough to provide some shelter from the sun.
School and village co-exist happily and the well is in constant use.
